Players with graphics set to High will stream high-resolution textures for Operators and Weapons, while players with graphics set to Medium or Low will be unaffected.

However, even with this flexibility, you shouldn't notice any effects on bandwidth with texture streaming enabled. You will be able to control bandwidth usage and set a daily cap through the Options menu. If players encounter an Operator or Weapon that uses a high-resolution texture, it will be streamed to the PC's cache as needed. This feature was developed to reduce the game's overall package size by removing certain textures rarely used or encountered by players. On PC, the November 2020 update introduces Texture Streaming. The update will release with slightly reduced Operator and Weapon texture resolutions by default, and an optional high-resolution texture pack will be available to download and install. These used to be loaded in using the 'high resolution texture packs' but now they've moved to texture streaming thus removing the need. With the drop of the most recent update, infinity ward changed the way they render textures. Ive seen a lot of complaints about it so I'll drop this here. With the release of the November 2020 update, console players have the option to select the resolution textures of Operators and Weapons. Delete/do not install High res texture packs on console.
